Aberdeen City Council Backs Save Mannofield Post Office Campaign

Aberdeen City Council today (25th June) backed the growing campaign to save Mannofield Post Office.

Speaking after the Council meeting, Mannofiled, Broomhill, Airyhall and Garthdee councillor Ian Yuill said ” The campaign to save Mannofield Post Office is going from strengh-to-strength. I’m delighted that the Council has backed the campaign to save Mannofield Post Office.

“Mannofield Post Office is a busy local Post Office which is actually increasing the amount of business it does. There is absolutely no justification for the Post Office’s plan to close it.”

Ian Yuill is urging anyone who has not aleready done so to write or e-mail the Post Office before the 8th July deadline backing the case to save Mannofield Post Office.

“Evidence from elsewhere around the country suggests a strong local campagn can help save a local post office. I urge anyone who wants to save our local Post Office to write to Sally Buchanan, Network Development Manager, National Consultation Team, FREEPOST CONSULTATION TEAM or e-mail consultation@postoffice.co.uk. Every letter and e-mail helps.”
