One of the best kept secrets in our area is Ruthrieston Outdoor Sports Centre on Pitstruan Place. It has six tennis courts, a bowling green and a large area of open space. It also used to have a putting green.
The outdoor sports centre is managed by Sport Aberdeen and I am due to meet them shortly and will raise with them how better use could be made of the outdoor sport centre.
I want to hear from people how they think the community could get more out of this outdoor sports centre. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

It might be good to reinstate the putting green. I think tennis should continue. Is there a lack of staffing or equipment as I have thought it has looked that way recently? Are volunteers needed to run it more like a community centre? It is a great open space for exercise.
This is a great idea . It is lovely space and it would be nice to have a better use if it I think . There are lots of possibilities : a playground , a cafe’ , a retantble space for meetings or birthdays , or even an outdoors actiticty trails for adults ..
good luck and keep us posted .

Is there enough area for a decent astro turf facility I am sure this would be well used by clubs looking for training facilities ie football/hockey which can also be used for birthday parties.
I don’t think so but I will include your suggestion in what I discuss with Sport Aberdeen.
