Concerns were expressed at a recent meeting of Garthdee Community Council about a minority of cyclists passing very close to pedestrians on the Deeside Way (the old Deeside railway line). A number of the “Cyclists, pass with care” signs which used to be placed along the Deeside Way have disappeared.
As a result of this I asked council staff to replace the missing signs.
Council staff have now told me they have one sign in stock which they will put up now and that they will also order more of these signs to put up along the Deeside Way.

Please would the council also consider horse riders who use the railway line, which some feel is quite dangerous when cyclists use it as a race track.
