Council urged to remove dumped items from Morrison Drive

by Ian Yuill on 13 October, 2017

Photo of mattress After being contacted by a number of residents, I have urged the council to remove dumped items from several places on Morrison Drive. The dumped items include a mattress, parts of a kitchen unit and pillows.

Residents have told me they are really annoyed that some people seem to think it is okay just to dump unwanted items on the pavement.

If you have large items to dispose of please contact the council’s contact centre on 03000 200 292 about the bulky item collection service or take them to one of the recycling centres.

If you know about any dumped items in our area that need to be removed please either contact the council or let me know.

if the council insist on charging for collection of larger items, this is bound to happen. not everyone has the means to transport stuff to a tip. It would be cheaper in the long run to collect them without charging.
