Temporary traffic lights on Broomhill Road – what’s going on?

by Ian Yuill on 9 February, 2018

Photo if temporary traffic lights at Broomhill RoadI have been asked by a number of residents about the temporary traffic lights that have been on Broomhill Road at its junction with Abergeldie Road for some time. Some people have told me the contractor who has dug up the road does not appear to be “on site” very much.

I have contacted council staff to highlight residents’ concerns and ask when the contractor will finish the work and remove the temporary traffic lights.

    Hello Councillor Yuill.

    Cranford Road

For a number of years in your communications with ward residents you’ve talked about the road surfaces and pot holes etc. Cranford Road is now in a really bad state, from the bottom to the top. Please come have a look. Morningside has been retarred as have other local streets. We think that the time has come for a proper look at Cranford Road with a view to resurfacing. Short term patch ups don’t work, a long term solution is desperately needed here. Be very grateful if you could take some action on behalf of ward constituents. Dog fouling also on the increase and some of our neighbours have also flagged up this issue with you. Thanks and regards, Louise and Graham Beaton, 90 Cranford Road.
