Call for action over Ruthrieston potholes

by Ian Yuill on 25 March, 2018

Photo of potholeAfter being contact by local residents, I have urged council staff to repair potholes and broken areas of road surface on Holburn Street, Ruthrieston Place, Ruthrieston Road, Ruthrieston Circle and Ruthrieston Crescent.

Pleas let me know of any other potholes or broken areas or road surface and I will contact council staff about these.

  1. Gordon Christie says:

The speed bumps from Broomhill Road to Broomhill Avenue on Gray Street are breaking up and are now dangerous at both sides with damaged car tyres etc inevitable
Also many pot holes on Gray Street from Broomhill Avenue to Holburn Street

  2. Mr Cruickshank says:

Thank you for prompting the road repair group and having it on things to do list .most cars parked in Ruthrieston crescent are away from 08:00 till 16:30 if information by fliers could be popped through letterboxes on the day’s road repair undertaken it would save the moaning Minnie’s having a field day.
The public bus service information is very useful

I have contacted yourself with reguards to Salisbury Terrance. The speed bumps are coming apart also. The road is an awful state and desperate need of repair. Damaging tyres and cars. Unavoidable if living on this road. It’s also used as a short cut.

    • Ian Yuill says:

Salisbury Terrace is in a disgraceful state with many potholes and broken areas. I regularly highlight these to council staff and urge that the are repaired.

The only long-term solution though is to completely resurface Salisbury Terrace and I will continue to press for that.

      • Katie says:

Thank you Ian. This week again the road has deteriorated. That along with the dangerous parking on this road at both ends this road is now a liability!
I’m pleased to hear you are pushing on with this road. It’s an utter disgrace!
