I have again urged the Roads Service to resurface Deeside Park as soon as possible. The road surface has completely disinterested in many places. It makes no sense at all to keep patching Deeside Park – it should be resurfaced.
Sadly roads and pavements across our area and the rest of Aberdeen continue to crumble because the Conservative, Labour and Independent councillors who control the council have refused, year-after-year, to properly invest in properly repairing and resurfacing road and pavements. Earlier this year they refused to back a Liberal Democrat proposal to invest an extra £12.5 million in road and pavement repairs and resurfacing over the next five years.
I will continue to do all I can to persuade the Roads Service to resurface roads and pavements in our area and my Liberal Democrat colleagues and I will continue to make the case for more to be invested in fixing our city’s crumbling roads and pavements.
You can report potholes and other road and pavement problems to there council or, if you prefer, you can let me have the details.
