If you had a real Christmas tree this Christmas, you have a choice of how to dispose of it.
You can take your tree to your nearest household waste and recycling centre. You can view information on where these are and their opening times here.
If you have a wheelie bin, the City Council will collect your tree on your usual brown bin collection day between 7th and 18th January.
If you use a communal bin, the council will collect Christmas trees in our area from 3rd to 7th January.

does the tree have to be in the bin
Only if it fits and you can close the wheelie bin lid. If it doesn’t fit, the normal practice is to put it beside your bin.
