Liberal Democrat councillor for Mannofield, Airyhall, Braeside, Broomhill, Garthdee, Kaimhill and Ruthrieston Learn more

I am delighted that, after several years of pressure, the council’s roads staff have finally agreed that Thorngrove Avenue should be resurfaced.
On 7th January I received an e-mail from the council’s roads staff which said:
“Thorngrove Avenue will be included in this year’s resurfacing programme which will begin in April.”
This is great news and my thanks go to all the residents who supported calls for Thorngrove Avenue to be resurfaced.
I will continue to press for other roads and pavements in our area to be properly repaired and resurfaced – and for the council to invest more in repairing and resurfacing Aberdeen’s crumbling roads and pavements.

Good news for Thorngrove Avenue !!
What about tackling Cranford Road next – especially the lower half towards Broomhill Road.
I didn’t realise it was so bad until I had to use that section because of the recent Auchinyell Bridge repair work.
It must be a nightmare for residents – what with the potholes and speed bumps its like an off-road assault course !
I have raised the condition of Cranford Road with the council’s roads staff on many occasions. As you say, the lower part is really bad.
