After being contacted by concerned residents, I have called on the council to clear blocked street drain gullies in Mannofield.
The residents were most concerned about blocked street drain gullies on Cranford Road, Hammerfield Avenue, Duthie Terrace and Duthie Place.

Good for you And your hard work. You have got my vote!
Thank you.
Don’t forget Morningside Road.
In fact all the branders in Morningside, Duthie and Cranford area need to lifted and sludge vac’d.
When it rains the running water down Morningside Road kerbside is like a river.
(And ends up flooding Broomhill Road at the bottom of Cranford and near the bottom of Morningside Gardens).
I will certainly report Morningside Road.
The council no longer regularly clears street drain gullies. It only clears them when there are complaints or problems.
I’ve just sent this to council staff:
Good Morning
I have been contacted by a constituent who urges that the council clear a number of blocked street drain gullies on Morningside Road.
My constituent tells me that “when it rains the running water down Morningside Road kerbside is like a river”.
I would be very grateful if the blocked street drain gullies on Morningside Road could be cleared.
Regards
Ian
