Very sadly, Jill Wisely, who served as councillor for this area for many years until she retired in 2012, died on Saturday 1st June.
Jill served as a local councillor between 1984 and 2012. She had a well-earned reputation as a councillor who worked hard for her constituents. You could never doubt Jill’s commitment to Aberdeen and its citizens.
I first got to know Jill in the early 1990s and last saw her about a month ago. Although we were in different political parties, Jill was a good friend and colleague. I will miss her.
My thoughts are with Jill’s husband Ivan, their children and grandchildren.
