July and August road restrictions in Garthdee for City Fibre work

Road restrictions are going to be in place in parts of Garthdee between 1st July and 11th August because of work being undertaken by City Fibre.

I have included the detailed list of roads and restrictions below but it is worth noting that:

  • Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense
  • Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
  • The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.

The temporary traffic order states:

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

1. Pitmedden Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junction with Craigievar Crescent and the car park entrance to numbers 26-56 Pitmedden Crescent from 08:00 on 2nd July, 2019, until 17:00 on 3rd July, 2019.

2. Craigievar Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junction with Craigievar Road and the gable end of numbers to 73-75 Craigievar Crescent from 08:00 on 8th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 9th July, 2019.

3. Craigievar Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Craigievar Road and Pitmedden Road from 08:00 on 10th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 11th July, 2019.

4. Stonehaven Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Garthdee Roundabout and Bridge of Dee Roundabout from 20:00 on 12th July, 2019, until 06:00 on 13th July, 2019.

5. Two Mile Cross, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Craigievar Court and the gable end of number 20 Two Mile Cross from 08:00 on 15th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 16th July, 2019.

6. Montrose Drive, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 12 and 13 Montrose Drive to the boundary between number 16 and 17 Montrose Drive from 08:00 on 17th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 18th July, 2019.

7. Montrose Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with Craigievar Road and a point 15 metres in an easterly direction from 08:00 on 19th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 20th July, 2019.

8. The southern carriageway of Garthdee Gardens, Aberdeen, between its junction with Garthdee Terrace and a point 10 metres in a westerly direction from 08:00 on 23rd July, 2019, until 17:00 on 24th July, 2019.

9. The northern carriageway of Garthdee Gardens, Aberdeen, between its junction with Garthdee Terrace and a point 10 metres in a south westerly direction from 08:00 on 25th July, 2019, until 17:00 on 26th July, 2019.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Aboyne Place, Aboyne Terrace, Craigievar Crescent, Craigievar Road, Craigievar Terrace, Garthdee Drive, Garthdee Gardens, Garthdee Road, Garthdee Terrace, Holburn Street, Inchbrae Drive, Kaimhill Circle, Kaimhill Road, Montrose Drive, Pitmedden Crescent, Pitmedden Road (Garthdee), Pitmedden Terrace, Two Mile Cross, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 1st July, 2019, until 17:00 on 11th August, 2019.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
