Liberal Democrat councillor for Mannofield, Airyhall, Braeside, Broomhill, Garthdee, Kaimhill and Ruthrieston Learn more

I have been told by the council’s roads staff that Thorngrove Avenue is due to be resurfaced between 13th and 20th August.
This is welcome, if long overdue, news. The road surface of Thorngrove Avenue has been in a terrible state for years.
My Liberal Democrat colleagues and I will continue to press for the council to invest more in properly repairing and resurfacing Aberdeen’s crumbling and broken roads and pavements.
Please do let me know about potholes and broken and uneven roads and pavements in our area.

Ian,
Many thanks for your assistance in helping us to get the road
resurfaced.
I will make such a difference.
Regards
Ronnie Murdoch
Hope this is true. We are already in July and we have not received any further notice on this.
On 10th June I received an email from council staff in reply to a question I had asked about when Thorngrove Avenue would be resurfaced. That reply stated:
“Thorngrove Avenue will be resurfaced from Seafield Road to Great Western Road as part of this years programme. This work is currently programmed to take place between the 13th and 20th of August.”
As the scheduled start date is still over a month away, it is a bit early for the council’s roads staff to be notifying residents of the arrangements for this work taking place.
Hi, I think you will be delighted to see the resurfacing of our road. I was surprise to see more pothole-patching today when I came home. I hope that this is not the resurfacing you are talking about. But won’t be surprise coming from Aberdeen City Council.
Rgds. Sergio
The pothole filling and patching is definitely NOT the resurfacing.
The entire length of Thorngrove Avenue is due to be resurfaced during August.
Have there been any updates on this resurfacing? Has it been delayed?
It’s now underway.
