The council’s Roads Service has agreed to fill potholes and repair broken areas in more roads in our area after I highlighted problems and urged that action was taken.
The latest roads where repairs have been made, or are due to be carried out soon, include:
Whilst this is welcome, when potholes and broken areas are filled they
all-too-often reappear within a few months – sometimes much sooner.
The only long-term solution to our city’s crumbling roads and pavements is for the council to invest more in properly repairing and resurfacing roads and pavements.
Year-after-year my Liberal Democrat colleagues and I have proposed investing more in properly repairing and resurfacing roads and pavements in Aberdeen.
Year-after-year the Conservative, Labour and Independent councillors who control Aberdeen City Council have rejected those Liberal Democrat proposals for extra investment in road repairs and resurfacing.
