Council roads staff have refused a request I made on behalf of residents for a mandatory 20mph speed limit to be introduced in the Deeside Gardens area.
Residents had told me they were worried at the speed of some vehicles on Deeside Gardens.
Council staff did tell me that if more resources become available they might reconsider their decision.
My view is that all residential side roads should have a mandatory 20mph speed limit.

I just do not understand what council resources has to do with introducing a speed limit policy.
Is it they can’t afford to install the 20mph signs ?
Or they just can’t afford to allocate time to sit down and think about it ??
They do not believe it is a priority. If money is spent on this it cannot be spent on something else.
Needless to say I disagree with that view.
