Thorngrove Avenue / Great Western Road pool must be tackled

by Ian Yuill on 5 October, 2019

I have contacted council staff to ask that action is taken to end the problem of a pool of water forming at the eastern side of junction of Thorngrove Avenue and Great Western Road after it rains.

This pool of water causes problems for pedestrians and occasionally leads to people waiting to cross Thorngrove Avenue being splashed with water when vehicles drive through the pool.

I first raised this with council staff a considerable time ago and was told the problem would be eliminated when Thorngrove Avenue was resurfaced. Thorngrove Avenue has now been resurfaced and the problem is no better.

I’d be grateful if you could also ask the council to look at the large pool of water which appears when it rains at the end of Cranford Road (left side)/Broomhill Road.

    Thanks

And once again the road at Broomhill Road / Morningside Gardens junction was almost completely flooded across the road at the weekend.
