Residents continue to contact me about problems with the litter bins outside the shops at Mannofield not being emptied often enough.
I have raised this with council staff a number of times. Sadly the situation does not seem to be improving.
I have now suggested that, if the bins cannot be emptied more often, either extra or larger bins are installed outside the shops.

It’s good to see complaints concerning the continuing lack of council action with respect to the general overall cleanliness of our community.
No doubt those other than yourself will roll out the usual ‘stretched resources’ or blame the lack of carrying our services we all pay council tax for on someone else, usually Westminster.
If as appears this council wants to INSPIRE a clean Aberdeen then in this case move the council bins into nearby streets, there are none on Thorngrove Avenue or Creighton Road, then enforce the fast food carry out and supermarket businesses to install bins and be responsible.
As an aside walking down Thorngrove Avenue from Seafield Road last week a full bag of used KFC rubbish had been dumped in the middle of the Avenue opposite the Open Reach building.
I took it home to my rubbish bin.
