by Ian Yuill on 29 May, 2020

Following the Scottish Government’s relaxation of the lockdown rules, three of Aberdeen’s household waste and recycling centres will be reopening from Monday.

The household waste and recycling centres which are reopening are at Hazlehead, Tullos and Bucksburn.

Special arrangements will be in place, including:

  • Do not visit if you are self-isolating or have COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Remember to stay two metres from staff and other visitors.
  • Only household general waste, non-electrical bulky waste, garden waste and cardboard are being accepted. No other materials are being accepted at present.
  • Please take ID with an address such as a driving licence or bill with you.
  • No large vans or trailers.
  • One person per vehicle and you must be able to unload without assistance as staff will not be able to help

Traffic controls and queuing restrictions will be in place. Queues are to be expected.

Before going to one of the reopened household waste and recycling centres please check the latest information.
