Is your household isolated because of a lack of digital connectivity?

by Ian Yuill on 11 August, 2020

Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, some households have been isolated from the outside world because they have no internet access or IT equipment.

Inchgarth Community Centre is managing a SCVO Inspiring Scotland funded scheme to provide help to such households in southern Aberdeen. Support may also be available to larger households with fewer devices than those who need to use them.

This funding has been used to purchase laptops, tablets and MiFi devices (portable routers). The MiFi devices are prepaid with 24Gb of data per month for up to 12 months and work in exactly the same way as a router. The MiFi devices can have multiple devices connected to them at any one time.

If your household, or a household you know of, in southern Aberdeen might benefit from this scheme, please contact Inchgarth Community Centre on 01224 325191 or at inchgarthcc1@gmail.com.
