Mannofield TSB closure update

I recently met with representatives of TSB about the bank’s announcement that it will close its Mannofield branch on 23rd June 2021.
I have made it clear to TSB that many local residents oppose the planned closure.
Also at the meeting with TSB were the Rev Keith Blackwood of Mannofield Church, Keith Pirie, the Secretary of Braeside and Mannofield Community Council, and Liam Kerr MSP.
I urged the TSB representatives to look at how it could continue to provide services locally.
The TSB representatives said that they were looking at how the bank could continue to provide some face-to-face services locally.
I will continue to work with residents and community representatives to do all I can to persuade TSB to continue to provide at least some services in our area.

Good for you Ian. This area has so many elderly residents with possibly no access to the internet and they are being marginalised. How can you expect carers or family members to travel to Union St. or Rosehill on their behalf if they have a banking query?
