Following the recent storms, residents have contacted me about fallen trees in our area. Fallen street trees and trees on Council-owned land are the Council’s responsibility but fallen trees on privately-owned land, including gardens, are the responsibility of the landowner.

Council staff have been working since the storms to remove fallen trees and this work will continue for some time.

I recently highlighted to Council staff a fallen street tree on Allan Street and this has now been removed.

I have now asked Council staff to remove a fallen tree which is blocking the pavement of Ramsay Crescent.

Please do let me know about any other fallen trees in our area.
