I have urged a senior Council manager to ensure the concrete blocks and obstructing the footpath from South Anderson Drive to Holburn Street are removed without any further delay. 

The concrete blocks and fence, which were put in place without permission, have now been blocking the footpath for over a year.

Earlier this year, the Council contacted the occupiers of nearby buildings asking whoever was responsible to remove the blocks and fence. I have been told nobody accepted responsibility. As a result, the Council will have to remove the blocks and fence at public expense.

It is though some time since I was told the Council would act and I have asked the senior manager to ensure the blocks and fence are removed without further delay.
