A number of Airyhall residents have contacted me about problems with seagulls in Airyhall. Although these gulls are clearly causing problems, councils have no special powers to take action against gulls. Only the owners or occupiers of land and buildings, or someone acting on their behalf, can take action against nesting gulls.

I have urged Council planners to protect the trees on the area of land between Airyhall House and Northcote Lodge. I took this action after being contacted by residents concerned about the possible sale and development of this land.

I have been contacted by residents concerned that some street lights in Braeside have been remaining on during the day.
