Council staff have told me they have repaired faulty street lights on Countesswells Road, Hammersmith Road, Gaitside Road and Broomhill Road after I highlighted faults on behalf of residents.

There are continuing problems with dog waste bins in our area not being emptied often enough. The most recent problem was with the dog waste bin at the grass area between Northcote Crescent and New Fox Lane.

The Council has finally replaced the street lights on South Anderson Drive.

I have asked the Roads Service to replace a missing illuminated bollard on a traffic island on Auchinyell Road near its junction with Kaimhill Road.

The problem with the street lights on South Anderson Drive between Broomhill Road and Garthdee Road remaining on during the day should be fixed soon.

The police update to Garthdee Community Council’s meeting on 9th March covered a range of issues including vandalism, antisocial behaviour, theft, assaults and the ongoing police response to COVID.

After being contacted by residents, I have urged the council to repair potholes and broken areas in roads including Craigton Terrace, Garthdee Drive and Hammerfield Avenue.

After being contacted by residents, I asked council staff why temporary signs had been put up on Morrison Drive saying the road was to be closed from 22nd February to 12th March.
