I have urged council staff to act to improve the maintenance of the planted areas in the central reservations and verges of Anderson Drive and South Anderson Drive. I have also called for roses to be replanted in the gaps in the central reservation.

I have called on the council’s Roads Service to resurface the crumbling surface of Hammerfield Avenue. Whilst the council has repaired some potholes on Hammerfield Avenue, many others remain – and new potholes and broken areas appear all-the-time. Transport Scotland has – for the third time – broken a commitment to to install additional traffic lights on a cantilever over the pedestrian crossing on South Anderson Drive just uphill from Broomhill Road.
