After being contacted by concerned residents, I have called on the council to clear blocked street drain gullies in Mannofield.

The double yellow lines put down in error on Broomhill Road at its junction with Hammerfield Avenue have now been removed.

Broomhill Road residents were surprised and annoyed to find yellow lines being painted on the road outside their homes earlier this week.

I have urged council staff to act to improve the maintenance of the planted areas in the central reservations and verges of Anderson Drive and South Anderson Drive. I have also called for roses to be replanted in the gaps in the central reservation.

Transport Scotland has – for the third time – broken a commitment to to install additional traffic lights on a cantilever over the pedestrian crossing on South Anderson Drive just uphill from Broomhill Road.
