Problems with dog waste bins in our area not being emptied often enough have returned and, after being contacted by a concerned resident, I called for overflowing dog waste bins on Airyhall Drive and Countesswells Road to be emptied.

Following the recent storms, residents have contacted me about fallen trees in our area. Fallen street trees and trees on Council-owned land are the Council’s responsibility but fallen trees on privately-owned land, including gardens, are the responsibility of the landowner.

After I highlighted the problem, the Roads Service is urgently investigating an area of sinking road surface on Broomhill Road near its junction with Duthie Terrace.

I have again urged the Roads Service to resurface Hammersmith Lane.

The December meeting of Garthdee Community Council received a report from the local policing team on crime in the area between 14th November and 14th December.

I regularly ask the Roads Service to repair potholes in our area, including recently, two deep potholes in Duthie Terrace and Abergeldie Road.

After being contacted by a concerned parent, I have urged the Roads Service to repair the faulty flashing 20mph warning sign on Broomhill Road on the city centre-bound approach to Broomhill School. The flashing lights on the sign are not working.
