After I urged the council to take action, a dumped sofa and chair were removed from The Woodies off Broomhill Road.

There are continuing problems with dog waste bins in our area not being emptied often enough. The most recent problem was with the dog waste bin at the grass area between Northcote Crescent and New Fox Lane.

Annoyingly, problems with dog waste bins not being emptied often enough have recurred.

I am pleased that the council has agreed to remove the lock up garages from the middle of “The Woodies” off Broomhill Road.

A number of residents have been in touch with me about pollution in the pond at Johnston Gardens.

Permission has been given to convert the Mariner Hotel into nine flats and a house and to build two semidetached houses in the hotel car park.

If a litter or dog waste bin is full, please don’t leave litter or bagged dog waste beside it. Instead please either take it home or put it in another litter or dog waste bin.

Council staff have confirmed to me that a dead street tree outside 65 Braemar Place will be removed by 18th December.

During the pandemic Broomhill School has been regularly using The Woodies as an outside space for school children.
