Action on blocked Springfield Road drain gully

Action on pavement problems

After I highlighted problems, Council staff are taking action to repair an uneven area of pavement on Springfield Road and a sunken area in the pavement of Thorngrove Avenue.

Inchgarth Community Centre extension update

I am delighted that one of the priorities in the new Council Partnership’s policy agreement is to build the planned Inchgarth Community Centre extension. This was one of the commitments in the Liberal Democrats’ Aberdeen City Council election manifesto.

EU Settlement Scheme support in Aberdeen

Although the deadline to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme has passed, Citizens’ Rights Project is still supporting EU citizens with issues linked to the scheme. Some approach the project because they do not understand how their new migration status work, others because they are facing issues when proving, updating or accessing their status.

Following a decision by the Church of Scotland to close Holburn West Church, a local group has been set up the save the church building for community use. Many groups depend on the Church building, at the junction of Great Western Road and Ashley Park Drive, as a venue for activities and meetings.

Woodies car parking concerns

After being contacted by local residents, I have urged Council staff to take action to stop cars being parked on the area of ground where the lock up garages formerly stood at The Woodies off Broomhill Road.
