After being contacted by a number of residents I have urged the City Council to remove three large concrete blocks which have been placed to block the footpath between South Anderson Drive and Holburn Street at the rear of 662 Holburn Street.

Storm Babet fallen trees are being removed

Council staff are working to remove the trees in our area – including the tree in the photo above on Northcote Avenue – which were blown down during Storm Babet.

Success – Kenfield Crescent resurfaced

I am pleased that the work to resurface Kenfield Crescent has been completed. The sunken areas have been removed and the road surface levelled.

I am delighted that the Great Western Community Trust has secured £425,000 from the Scottish Land Fund to allow it to purchase the Holburn West Church buildings on Great Western Road. This will ensure that the church buildings will be retained and further developed for community use.

Success – Hammersmith Lane to be resurfaced

I am delighted the Council’s Roads staff have finally agreed to resurface Hammersmith Lane. This is the lane that runs between the rear of homes on Hammersmith Road and Gray Street between the rear of Broomhill School and Great Western Lane.

Broomhill Road e-bike station problems

I recently met with residents, Council staff, and a representative of Big Issue E-Bikes to discuss problems linked to the e-bike pick up / drop off point on the pavement of Broomhill Road at its junction with Cranford Road.
