I have called on the Roads Service to repair potholes in the road surface at the junction of Montrose Drive and Craigievar Road.

People have told me how angry they are that the City Council did not even discuss the reopening of central Union Street to at least buses and taxis when it met on Monday 13th December.

I regularly ask the Roads Service to repair potholes in our area, including recently, two deep potholes in Duthie Terrace and Abergeldie Road.

After being contacted by a concerned parent, I have urged the Roads Service to repair the faulty flashing 20mph warning sign on Broomhill Road on the city centre-bound approach to Broomhill School. The flashing lights on the sign are not working.

I am delighted that the collapsed wooden fence between Ruthrieston Road and the bridge over the Deeside Way (the old railway line) on the eastern side South Anderson Drive has, at last, been replaced.

Shockingly, the saga of delays in installing cantilevered traffic lights above the pedestrian crossing on South Anderson Drive just uphill from the Broomhill Road roundabout continues.

I was very disappointed to be told by Council staff that the resurfacing of Nellfield Place which was due to begin later this month will not now take place until the New Year. 

The City Council is seeking people’s views on proposals to introduce double yellow lines at three road junctions in Mannofield. There are also proposals to introduce of 20mph speed limits on four roads.

After I called for action, the Roads Service has replaced missing and damaged bollards and an illuminated globe at a traffic island on Auchinyell Road.

I have been asked by a number of people why the resurfacing of the Bridge of Dee planned for October did not go ahead.
