Gas main replacement work by Scottish Gas Networks is set to cause disruption on Broomhill Road and neighbouring streets between Monday 12th October and Christmas.

After being contacted by residents, I asked the council to take action over problems with street trees on several local roads.

I am pleased to report that the council has agreed to my request for a bike rack to be installed at Airyhall Library. Hopefully this will be installed soon.

Work to build the West Link Road – part of the housing development at Countesswells – means the Cults to Kingswells Road is set to close until just before Christmas.

Aberdeen City Council has published details of how it intends to deal with snow and ice over the winter.

I have urged council staff to replace several dead street trees on the western side of South Anderson Drive between Ruthrieston Road and Garthdee Road.

A faulty 20mph flashing warning sign on Broomhill Road on the eastbound approach to Broomhill school has been repaired.

After being contacted by worried residents, I have urged the police to carry out speed checks around Kaimhill School and on Garthdee Road and Auchinyell Road.

I contacted the police and City Wardens after complaints of  unsafe driving and parking on double yellow lines and zigzags around Broomhill School. 

I am delighted that Deeside Park has been resurfaced. It was in a terrible condition.
