Devenick Place will be one way northbound (towards Gaitside Drive) from 4th to 22nd December whilst pavement construction work takes place.

Like many residents, I am frustrated and annoyed by the last minute postponement of the resurfacing of Hammersmith Lane (the lane between the rear of homes on Gray Street and Hammersmith Road). The work was due to have been completed by Tuesday 28th November.

Ashley and Broomhill Community Council discussed a number of local issues – including road safety and snow clearing – at its 15th November meeting.

Airyhall School PTA is holding its Christmas Fair at the school between 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday 25th November.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Countesswells Road 30 metres east of the RGC playing fields during roadworks between 7.30am on 27th November and 4pm on 8th December.

I am pleased that the work to resurface Seafield Gardens has been completed.

Scottish Water has finally announced when it will take action to repair the sunken area of Broomhill Road near its junction with Duthie Terrace. Scottish Water has told the City Council that this work is due to begin on 7th January 2024.

Work to refurbish the tennis courts at Ruthrieston Outdoor Sports Centre off Pitstruan Place is almost complete. 

After being contacted by a number of residents I have urged the City Council to remove three large concrete blocks which have been placed to block the footpath between South Anderson Drive and Holburn Street at the rear of 662 Holburn Street.

Council staff are working to remove the trees in our area – including the tree in the photo above on Northcote Avenue – which were blown down during Storm Babet.
