Concerns over Deeside Way steps

After being contacted by concerned residents, I have urged council staff to take urgent action to make the steps from the eastern side of South Anderson Drive to the Deeside Way (the old railway line) safe.
These wooden steps are uneven in places and chicken wire attached to them to reduce the risk of slipping has worn away in places.

I am glad to hear you are trying to get something done about these steps. My wife fell on these steps on Tuesday Night but fortunately did not come to any harm.
It’s a toss up between using these steps or trying to cross Anderson Drive to the western steps and deal with all the speeding cars, a real “rock and a hard place ” situation.
