I have called on the council to repair urgently the faulty flashing 20mph speed limit sign on the westbound approach to Broomhill School on Broomhill Road. The upper pair of lights on the sign are remaining on constantly. There have been a number of faults with this warning sign in recent years and I have […]

Potholes, potholes and more potholes

by Ian Yuill on 6 April, 2018

Thank you to everyone who has told me about potholes and broken areas of road surface over the last couple of weeks. It is very clear that, sadly, our local roads continue to deteriorate because of years of under investment by the Conservative / Labour controlled council. I have contacted the Roads Department about all […]

I have now received replies from council staff to the many enquiries I made on behalf of residents about problems with wheelie bin collections over Christmas and the New Year. Unfortunately the replies are all the same – with only the street or area name changed. This is the reply I received about problems with wheelie […]

Gray Street trees – consultation to be carried out

by Ian Yuill on 13 January, 2018

A number of residents have been concerned for some time about the large amount of fruit that falls every autumn from the street trees onto the pavements of the section of Gray Street between Broomhill Road and Holburn Street. Residents are concerned that, once squashed, these fruit can make the pavements very slippery. Council staff […]
