Broomhill Road has now reopened between Hammerfield Avenue and Duthie Terrace. I understand buses are now running along the normal bus route.

This is very welcome but Scottish Water’s communications with the public about the work it was carrying out was unacceptably poor. Scottish Water did not provide any information directly to the public and the information it provided to the Council changed several times.

For months, Scottish Water failed to accept responsibility for the subsiding road surface. If it had acted sooner, the disruption to residents and those using Broomhill Road might well have been less.
