Great Western Community Centre, in collaboration with Sport Aberdeen and Peacock, is hosting Aberdeen’s first-ever Community Con from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday 29th September.

Inspired by the spirit of Comic Con, this event will celebrate the charities and community groups that make Aberdeen special.

Community Con will take place at Great Western Community Centre on Ashley Park Drive and Ruthrieston Sports Centre on Pitstruan Place.

Highlights of this free event include:

• All age games and activities with Sport Aberdeen
• Hands-on screen-printing and badge-making with Peacock
• Drawing workshop with the talented illustrator Maddy Sutherland
• Meet The Scottish Imperial Garrison for some fun photo opportunities
• Bob’s Buddies will provide a unique experience with their friendly, therapeutic owls
• FREE Yummy treats from award winning bakery Jo Scrumptious
