Action – parts of Auchinyell Road and Morrison Drive resurfaced at last

by Ian Yuill on 21 August, 2021

I am delighted that parts of Morrison Drive and Auchinyell Road have at last been resurfaced – but the City Council needs to do more to improve roads and pavements in Garthdee.

Parts of the road surface of Pitmedden Crescent have crumbled away

Roads including Ivanhoe Road, Gaitside Terrace and part of Pitmedden Crescent are in a very poor condition with potholes and broken areas of road surface.

I will continue to press for these roads and others in Garthdee and the rest of our area to be resurfaced and properly repaired.

Please do let me know about problems with any roads or pavements in our area.

As I keep saying add inchbrae drive to the roads that need sorted it’s a disgrace

It amazed me that Auchinyell Road was resurfaced (although they have made a good job) as the condition was nowhere near as bad as some streets in our area.
Cranford Road is a perfect example !!
Seems that the more you complain to the Council about a specific street condition puts that street back to the bottom of the priority list !!!

Montrose Drive from the intersection with Craigievar Road, where there is no roadsign for “Montrose Drive” is a series of potholes to the intersection with Pitmedden Crescent is a series of badly filled pott holes, especially at the western end.
Speed bumps at the eastern end of Montrose Drive, Pitmedden crescent,, Pitmedden Road and Kaimhill Road,
Although necessary, several of these speed bumps are too deep and constantly strike the undersides of cars causing damage, The bumps would have been better designed to fill the width of the fosd without the gap in the centre of the road.
