First has agreed to make changes to the services 15 timetable to “deliver better co-ordination” with service 11A on Seafield Road. The changed timetable will be introduced in November.

I received this news in an email from First Bus Scotland’s Managing Director Duncan Cameron. I had contacted him to highlight residents’ concerns about charges made to the service 15 timetable this summer and to urge that First better coordinate the timetables of services 15 and 11A at the Seafield shops.

The email I received from Duncan Cameron says:

Hi Ian,

Many thanks for getting back in touch with me on this matter.

By way of an update, I can confirm that my network team have been looking into this with a view to making sure that services 11A and 15 deliver better co-ordination in terms of their timetabling on Seafield Road.

I’m pleased to advise that we’ll be introducing revised timings to service 15 from November to help achieve that objective. At the same time, we will also be making a small route adjustment to reinstate access to the Lidl supermarket on Countesswells Road.

These changes will also coincide with the seasonal alterations we make to the route of service 17/18 to accommodate the festive markets on Broad Street. Full details on these adjustments will be shared more publicly in the near future.
