by Ian Yuill on 10 March, 2024

Holburn Street is closed for roadworks between its junctions with Broomhill Road and Nellfield Place, including both roundabouts. Holburn Street is due to reopen on 22nd March, although it may reopen earlier if the roadwords take less time than expected.

As a result of Holburn Street being closed, bus services have been diverted. You can find details of the bus service diversions here.

The bus diversions are a nightmare! I am 83 with heart problems and asthma, and my partner is 89 with mobility problems. Because we live at the bottom end of Gray Street just up from Holburn Street and no longer have a car, we have a 20 minute uphill walk to get to Great Western Road or Holburn Junction to get a bus into town. Looks like we will be spending a fortune on taxi fares for the next few days.

Eileen Leslie, I appreciate the road closure and bus diversions are causing problems, but unfortunately they are necessary whilst the road is being resurfaced.
