Council staff have agreed to my request to provide a disabled parking space at the Mannofield shops.

The disabled parking space will be at the eastern end of the parking area outside Boots. It should be in place soon.

The email I received from Council staff confirming the disabled parking space would be created says:

“Dear Councillor,

“Thank you for your correspondence requesting a disabled parking bay outside the shopping area on Great Western Road between Hammerfield Avenue and Duthie Terrace.

“This request has been approved and the bay will be situated as suggested at the eastern end of the parking area adjacent to the pharmacy and optician.

“It is anticipated the road markings will be installed in the coming weeks and the statutory process commenced thereafter.”
