Council staff have confirmed to me that the Springbank Cemetery gates off Springfield Road are to be repaired. The gates were very badly damaged when they were hit by a vehicle several months ago.

Council staff told me “… specialists have been sourced for the gate repair and an order has been raised. The gate is due to be uplifted and removed from the site. We understand the repairs are expected to take several weeks. Correspondence with the insurers of the driver involved is continuing in the meantime.”

I look forward to seeing the repaired gates back in place.
