After being contacted by a concerned resident, I have urged the Council to repair the faulty flashing 20mph warning sign on Broomhill Road on the city centre-bound approach to Broomhill School. The flashing lights on the sign are not working.

After I raised the issue on behalf of Kaimhill School Parent Council, the Council has now put “School Keep Clear” zigzag markings down at the Two Mile Cross entrance to Kaimhill School.

During the pandemic Broomhill School has been regularly using The Woodies as an outside space for school children.

The Scottish Government has announced its plans for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher exams next spring.

I contacted the police and City Wardens after complaints of  unsafe driving and parking on double yellow lines and zigzags around Broomhill School. 

I am very pleased for all the young people whose hard work and ability is now going to be properly recognised by the regrading of National 4 and 5, Higher and Advanced Higher results.

There is always debate about the merits or otherwise of school “league tables”. They most certainly do not tell the whole story.

I have called on the council to cut back the branches and foliage obscuring a school warning sign on Pitmedden Road outside Kaimhill School.

A number of parents have said they are concerned about how the bus service for school pupils between Mannofield and Hazlehead operated on Wednesday 21st August.

The method of applying for school places in Aberdeen has changed – it now needs to be done online.
