Council urge to rethink refusal to repair Inchbrae Drive / Inchbrae Road junction road surface

Photo of road surface at juncyion of Inchbrae Drive and Inchbrae RoadI have called on the council’s Roads Service to reconsider their decision not repair the broken and potholed road surface at the junction of Inchbrae Drive and Inchbrae Road. Council staff told me they would not carry out repairs because “is not a safety concern”.

I had urged the Roads Surface to repair this area after being contacted by a concerned resident.

The reply I received from the Roads Service said:

“We have assessed the road condition at the junction of Inchbrae Drive and Inchbrae Road and, as it is not a safety concern, we will not be taking any further action just now. We will continue to monitor it and will act if necessary. If you think the problem has got worse then please do not hesitate to contact us.”

I looked at the road surface at this junction on Thursday 11th April and do not agree with the decision to make no repairs. I have contacted the Roads Service again and asked that they rethink their decision.
