Success – Seafield Gardens resurfaced

I am pleased that the work to resurface Seafield Gardens has been completed.
Whilst it is good that Seafield Gardens has been resurfaced, many more roads and pavements in our area – including Hammerfield Avenue – need to be resurfaced or properly repaired. I will continue to urge the Roads Service to do that.
My Liberal Democrat colleagues and I, as part of the Partnership that now controls the Council, will also continue to allocate millions of pounds extra each year to the Council’s road and pavement resurfacing and repair budget.

Good evening, it’s lovely that all these side roads are being resurfaced but it would be even better if Hammerfield Avenue was considered as it is atrocious! We have lots of traffic (avoiding Anderson Drive), it is so busy now. I have lived here over 33 years and all that has ever been done is patching which needs redone every year! Not really cost effective.

Sandra Budge, Hammerfield Avenue is in a terrible state and needs to be resurfaced. I have repeatedly raised this with the Council’s Roads staff – and will continue to do so.
