Success – South Anderson Drive fence replaced

I am delighted that the collapsed wooden fence between Ruthrieston Road and the bridge over the Deeside Way (the old railway line) on the eastern side South Anderson Drive has, at last, been replaced.

Shockingly, the saga of delays in installing cantilevered traffic lights above the pedestrian crossing on South Anderson Drive just uphill from the Broomhill Road roundabout continues.

Nellfield Place resurfacing delayed

I was very disappointed to be told by Council staff that the resurfacing of Nellfield Place which was due to begin later this month will not now take place until the New Year.

Abergeldie Terrace pavement concerns

After being contacted by a concerned resident, I have urged the Council to repair the faulty flashing 20mph warning sign on Broomhill Road on the city centre-bound approach to Broomhill School. The flashing lights on the sign are not working.

Local community council elections update

I have urged the Council to replace two missing illuminated bollards on the traffic island on Holburn Street at the Great Southern Road roundabout.

I am pleased that, after I highlighted the problem on behalf of residents, the council has agreed to repair uneven areas of pavement around street trees on Holburn Road.

Action – potholes filled

After I called for action, the Roads Service has filled potholes and broken areas of road surface in several roads in our area including Broomhill Place, Broomhill Terrace, Ruthrieston Crescent, Gaitside Terrace, and Craigton Terrace.
