Thank you to everyone who has contacted me about problems with council grass cutting of open spaces in our area. I have highlighted to council staff every problem raised with me. I am also arranging to meet the manager responsible for grass cutting.

I have urged council staff to act to improve the maintenance of the planted areas in the central reservations and verges of Anderson Drive and South Anderson Drive. I have also called for roses to be replanted in the gaps in the central reservation.

Transport Scotland’s Road Safety Manager has told me the pedestrian crossing on South Anderson Drive just uphill from the Garthdee roundabout will be considered as a possible site for road safety cameras.

The opening of the southern section of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route earlier today should mean less through traffic using South Anderson Drive and Anderson Drive. These roads will though remain some of the busiest in Aberdeen.
