Garthdee Controlled Parking Zone update

The future of the Garthdee Controlled Parking Zone is in doubt after Robert Gordon University told the City Council it would not pay the cost of administering the CPZ when the current arrangement ends. Many Garthdee residents have told me how angry they are by the University’s announcement.

Restrictions on Garthdee Road until 26th April

The current restrictions on Garthdee Road between the Garthdee roundabout and the entrance to Boots / Currys are set to continue until Friday 26th April. The road is reduced to one lane in each direction.

The A92 Stonehaven Road will be closed between the Bridge of Dee and the Charleston flyover from Monday 8th April to Friday 19th April for road repairs. The closure includes the Bridge of Dee roundabout.

Springfield Road will be closed between North Deeside Road and Craigton Road for road resurfacing from Monday 25th March until Thursday 4th April. Craigton Road will also be closed between 86 Craigton Road and the entrance to 16-25 Craigton Park.

The closure of Holburn Street between its junctions with Broomhill Road and Nellfield Place has been extended because of a burst water main. Holburn Street is now due to reopen at 5pm on Wednesday 27th March. The southbound carriageway (towards the Bridge of Dee) has been re-opened.

Holburn Street is closed for roadworks between its junctions with Broomhill Road and Nellfield Place, including both roundabouts. Holburn Street is due to reopen on 22nd March, although it may reopen earlier if the roadwords take less time than expected.

I have been told by Council staff that Broomhill Road is due to reopen to through traffic at its junction with South Anderson Drive by 4pm today (Monday 29th January).
