It was great to see the badly broken and uneven surface of Salisbury Terrace resurfaced very recently. Unfortunately it seems some problems have arisen with the new surface.
Like others, I noticed the new surface appears to be crumbling in several places. The worst of these is near the junction with Great Western Road.
There are also raised edges at some of the ironworks in the road surface.
I have contacted council staff about this. They told me that problems may well have been caused by the cold weather when the surface was laid. They have agreed to clear the loose material and will keep the road surface under observation. They have confirmed to me that they will arrange for it to be repaired after the winter if that is required.3 Comments
