One of the places in our area which people most often contact me about is The Woodies off Broomhill Road and I thought it would be helpful to give an update on various issues about the Woodies.

I have asked council staff to repair a damaged bollard on Granville Place near its junction with Great Western Road.

I have urged Council staff to repair uneven pavements and kerb stones around street trees on Holburn Road.

I have again contacted Council staff about the very poor condition of the road surfaces of Broomhill Terrace and Broomhill Place. 

A national shortage of paving slabs has led to the resurfacing of part of the pavement on the odd numbered side of Gray Street being delayed from July until October.

I recently raised residents’ concerns about speeding on Broomhill Road – especially near Broomhill School – with our local police team.

After I highlighted the problem, the City Council has agreed to remove several dead trees from The Woodies off Broomhill Road.

I have called on the Council to remove several large dead trees from The Woodies off Broomhill Road.

After I urged the council to take action, a dumped sofa and chair were removed from The Woodies off Broomhill Road.

The Roads Service is set to resurface and repair a number of roads and pavements in our are over the next 10 months.
