Council staff have agreed to repaint the double yellow lines at the junction of Irvine Place and Allan Street. I asked for this to be done after a resident highlighted to me that the double yellow lines were so worn drivers were parking on them and obstructing the junction.

I have asked both the City Council and the Police to take action about delivery vans repeatedly parking on the pavement and white zig zags on the southern side of Great Western Road between Duthie Terrace and the Mannofield shops. I acted after being contacted by a concerned resident.

Council staff have confirmed to me that they are waiting to hear back from contractors by 20th May about the reinstatement of the grass verge on the western side of South Anderson Drive. They aim to have the grass verge reinstated out as soon after that is possible.

I have urged Council staff to properly reinstate the grass verges on the western side of South Anderson Drive. The grass verges are in a terrible state after ducting was laid.

The future of the Garthdee Controlled Parking Zone is in doubt after Robert Gordon University told the City Council it would not pay the cost of administering the CPZ when the current arrangement ends. Many Garthdee residents have told me how angry they are by the University’s announcement.
